Vanishing Lake County

Peterson Road between Illinois Rtes. 45 and 60 is the site of vanishing countryside. Massive expansion of that stretch has created exceptionally wide intersections with nothing much but farm fields abutting them. Placid expanses will likely soon give way to sprawl.
